Tools includes colorful toolbars, colourful Grids, Tree views, List bars, Month boxes, Annual views, Ring Diary type interface and Outlook style program listbar on left hand side

  • Uniformity People don’t have to learn to use 60 different programs. We have made it simpler for the user to learn the use of this software by keeping uniform Field colours, Buttons, Functions, Menus, Toolbars, keystrokes, color s and Icons.
  • Flexibility User definable categories, subcategories and choices for many fields which appear as drop lists in data entry. User definable colours for categories in various programs. Simple and advanced forms to suit all types of users.

1. Easy Data entry – less input –More Output !

DATABASES : Data entry task of user is simplified greatly by predictive & auto fill assist in this. We have filled in huge databases to simplify this task. These databases can be updated over internet.

Many fields have drop list making easier the tedious task of Data entry. Drop List choices are provided for various fields. These drop lists also show filtered data based on data being entered in current record. Eg in music collections it will show music albums based on Group/Artist selected and also autofill year of release and category.

COOL Tools : Most number fields can be filled in using number keypad

All date fields can be entered using date boxes.

Auto text : User can define commonly used words which can be inserted in text while writing letters, Journal etc

Cool Color and Font pickers.

PREDICTIVE & AUTO FILL: Eg. While adding contacts, user just has to select the city and let our program fill in state, country, postal code and telephone code. It will even show you localities of selected city while typing street address for major Indian cities. There are countless examples of this.

2. FORMS and LIST layout:

Forms designed to look attractive by use of Colours, Backgounds , Textures, and Icons. Important programs have grey forms (besides colored) as user desires. Important programs also allow user to chose between simple and detailed forms

Most programs have Forms and list views to view , add, edit and search data as the user desires. List views have sort, edit, filter, search and maximize functions. All lists / gids can be maximized and filtered on any field. All columns can be resized, moved, sorted and merged to show hierarchial data.

  • Forms enable easy data entry by various combos, drop lists which are user defined or thru huge preset database provided in program.
  • A very Important concept of showing Form & List together which are interlinked to view, add, edit data in both.
  • User can navigate forms & corresponding record in list will be highlighted. Conversely user can navigate/click on any list record to view corresponding record in Form View.
  • User can select colored / Grey form
  • User can select Beginners / Advanced mode. In Beginners mode few fields and functions are invisible in form & list view.
  • User can select fields & add mode defaults.
    Concept to customize category & subcategory in all Important Programs.

LISTS :

  • All lists have columns sorting, Resizing & Moving by dragging.
  • User can Toggle Between coloring columns or alternate row coloring.
  • User can edit data in lists.
  • A few important fields are locked in lists to prevent accidental editing & drop list combo boxes are given in most places to edit data.
  • A few important programs allow user to add data directly in lists.
  • User can click on any record row to view corresponding data in a form above grid.
  • User can double click any record row to edit corresponding record in form.
  • User can navigate records in form, and corresponding record in list/Grid will be highlighted with Row coloring.
  • User can maximize List to view more records in list & hide the form view. In max mode user can add / edit data in list.
  • User can use “View as” Icon in toolbar to rearrange list in various sorting order of fields.This rearranges list/Grid by moving & sorting selected field to first column & merging rows of similar type. There are various multi field sorting orders predefined in menus.
  • User can select data to view in lists by compound filtering. On clicking select Icon in Toolbar, Drop list combos boxes appear above respective major fields in Grid. User can do filtering of data on a combination of various fields and date ranges. This data can be further analyzed by user by moving columns or sorting. User can click refresh to return to original state.
  • Provision for collapsing grid by row merging on Important fields to find / view quickly required data. Tree view like hierarchial grouping of fields in most programs for important fields. This also gives subtotals and numbers of records.
  • User can change font size of list by selecting font size in setup of each Program.
  • User can save lists data as a excel file. Program automatically saves to default location & filename given for each program.
  • Uniformity of functions and interface across all programs of suite. Separate list toolbar above list for important functions.
  • Pop up menus for all important functions of lists.

3. Interlinking / Automatic data update :

- Interlinking is the heart of the program.

- All programs seamlessly merge and integrate with each other. A very unique feature enables copying of data from one program to another to update various records automatically. This unique process is very thoughtfully made to assist user for min. data input and use of same data in various programs and functions.

- Program automatically copies data from one module to another, updating users various records. All this is done as as per users instructions and user set categories.

 

o ML Contacts data can be linked in 15 other programs of ML suite . For a given record it shows data from other programs like Emails, Letters, Phone calls, Gifts, Journal entries, Photos, Accounts & any lent items to that person.

o ML Scheduler can automatically show data from other programs to inform you in advance. This includes Personal record expiry dates, Contact Birthdays & anniversaries, approaching club meeting and holidays etc.

o ML Pocket Money uses data and expenses entered in various programs to write your accounts automatically. Eg any gift or purchase of collections, shop list is automatically written to your accounts.

o ML Journal automatically writes your daily journal based on your various activities entered in other programs. This includes letters, emails, accounts, gifts, photos, purchases, club meeting etc.

o There are various other similar functions to assist user.

All auto fill of data is done under user defined default categories .

Linked Data Viewers

Contacts Linked Viewer – view data linked to address book contacts from other programs like Letters, Emails, Phone calls, Journal, Account expenses, free database, Gifts, Photos etc.

Tasks Master View : view all scheduler related data in one place like Tasks, To-do, Time tables, Pending Task list, Monthly target planners etc.

Journal Monthly Summary Viewer : view data from most other programs for any particular month / date from Photos, letters, emails, phone calls, Accounts, expenses, party planner, Tasks, etc

Photos Monthly Summary viewer – view pictures linked in other programs like contacts, Journal, Baby photos, Free DB, Party Planner, Associations, Clothes , jewellery, Home payroll, Home Storage etc.

Mailing List : link groups of contacts from Address book, Associations, Family Tree etc to do group actions like send letters, print list, print labels etc.

We believe every activity a person does from automobile repair to gifts can be linked to either a Contact, a future Date (Scheduler), a past Event (Journal), Accounts or a combination of above.

4. DATA TRANSFER

1. Most programs enable to save Files in – Excel, TXT, Html , PDF and CSV formats.

2. User can import his any previous contacts database into MyLife database using easy field mapping interface.

3. Contacts and Scheduler can be Imported and Exported to MS Outlook

4. MyLife Pocket Money Import / Exports data to excel / QIF format compatible with MS-Money.

5. Contacts and Scheduler can be Exported to Handheld devices such as Casio diaries and Palm Pilots.

5. OTHER FEATURES

COMMON FILTERS :

All Important programs like – Scheduler, Journal, Pocket Money, Photographs etc. have common filters across many functions/form views of the program. Hence user can select and set the data he wishes to see and same filtering conditions are applied on various forms & view types.

Advanced Date Range filter is given in all forms. This allows user to select data for Previous week, month, 3 months, 6 months, years or a user specified date range. In user specified date range user can select data before, after or between two dates.

KEYWORD SEARCH :

User can filter data by searching all fields of all records for any Text string in the database. This could be either at starting or in the middle of any text.

FIND & REPLACE :

This features helps user to find & replace any text at Beginning of field in the database. User can even select a single field name in which be wishes to modify data.

SUMMARIES:

This feature shows summary of data with regard to count, percentage & pie charts of various fields in the database. Eg. This shows how many records the user has for each category or any other fields.

SETUPS :

  • Elaborate setups to customize many options in all programs of suite.
  • User can set categories & sub-categories which are to appear as drop lists in data entry. User can view these as list tree and even customize colors in some important programs.
  • User can also set choices for drop lists to appear in various other fields. This aids in faster data entry in forms.
  • User can set Transfer data options to copy data automatically to scheduler, Journal or Pocket Money Program. User can also set categories of these program to which data should be posted. Hence, in various programs adding a record automatically adds another corresponding record in users scheduler, Journal, or Pocket Money Program.
  • User can set various defaults and add mode default data.
  • While deleting a category program allows user to rename, delete category only, delete category with all records or delete category and move all records to another specified category.
  • User can set font size of Grid/lists.

PRINT :

  • Various reports pre-made on major sorting & grouping orders. A total of more than 150 Reports.
  • User can further select data for Report being generated by filtering on multiple fields and date ranges etc.
  • Reports can be Printed in color/ Gray scale.
  • Reports can be exported as word, Adobe Acrobat and Internet (HTML) files.
  • Option for user to print blank data entry form. User can use this report form to manually write data to be entered in MyLife Program later.
  • Another special feature is report from List.
  • User can use this list form to Print data as list with user customization. User can Resize, Move, Sort and filter columns as per user’s requirement.
  • All above features are available in all programs.

Multi user

Many programs designed to enable use by multiple family members. Most programs in Personal records, Kids, Pocket money and photos enable to keep data for all members in users family.
